As children, we were taught to say thank you when people did something nice or helped out. As we get older, sometimes we forget to just say thanks for the little things people do for us on a daily basis.
In some cases, just saying the words may not seem like enough. To help you to be able to say “I wanna thank you” in creative and unique ways, here are some ideas that are sure to bring a smile to the face of those you wish to thank.
- Send an email – while an email can seem impersonal, you can always personalize it with a picture of your smiling face or a picture of how the action helped to convey your thanks. For example, if a friend or neighbor helped you out by mowing the lawn, take a selfie or a family picture with everyone enjoying the beautiful landscaped look of your yard. click here to send thank you email now.
- Make a thank you basket – for a neighbor, coworker, someone in the community or even a delivery person a small thank you basket is a creative idea to say thank you. This can include candies, homemade cookies, bath products, essential oils or anything you wish to include. It doesn’t have to be expensive and you can use scraps of netting, fabric, ribbon or lace to tie-up the packages. Add a homemade card and you have a wonderful way to show your appreciation.
- Post a thank you – while not everyone is on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter recognizing the actions of anyone in the community in these public forums can be a great way to show your appreciation. Just be careful, some people are more private and don’t like posts mentioning their name or showing their image. Always check the types of posts they have on their wall before adding one of our own.
- Make a gift or offer a service – some people are talented at knitting, crocheting, fixing vehicles, repairing things around the house or dozens of other things. You can reciprocate kindness with kindness by doing a good deed or a favor for people. This is a wonderful way to say thanks and to also create a true community spirit of people helping each other.
Saying “I wanna thank you” is wonderful, but you can also be creative in showing your appreciation. You will be amazed at the responses you receive and how you will notice acts of kindness throughout your community once you get started.
